Bayern and Real Madrid had their first European encounter in 1976 in the semi final.  After a 1-1 draw in Madrid Bayern won the second leg 2-0 in Munich thanks to two goals from Gerd Müller and advanced to the final.   

Bayern’s biggest ever win against Dortmund came on November 27, 1971, beating them by an incredible score of 11-1.  Gerd Müller scored four goals that day.

Werder Bremen’s first ever Bundesliga match against Bayern München all the way back in 1965.  Bremen’s Sepp Piontek put his team in the lead but Gerd Müller and his teammates rallied back to win the match 3-1.

West Germany reunited their famous 1974 World Cup winning side for Wolfgang Overath’s farewell match in 1977.

Looking through the Family Photo album are a young Gerd Müller, his girlfriend and his dear mother. 

European Golden Shoe winners in 1972 and 173 respectively, Gerd Müller (Bayern München) and Eusebio (Benfica Lisabon). Both scored 40 goals in their respective seasons.

On September 20, 1983 at the Olympiastadion in München, Gerd Müller played his last football match.  A farewell game between Bayern and the German National Team was staged with Müller playing a half for each to send off one of German football’s greatest players.  A bittersweet Müller took in the wave of emotions above.
